Privacy Agreement 

This Applicant Privacy Statement (this “Statement”) applies to all of the information collected on this Career website (the “Site”) by Catholic Medical Center and submitted by you to facilitate your job application (“Applicant Personal Information”).

Catholic Medical Center maintains safeguards designed to protect your Applicant Personal Information. However, statements here and elsewhere on the Site concerning the treatment of your information may not apply with respect to information already in Catholic Medical Center’s possession, such as information obtained by Catholic Medical Center in connection with your current or former employment at Catholic Medical Center or information that is publicly available to Catholic Medical Center.

To the extent the Applicant Personal Information you provide contains details of your: racial or ethnic origin; physical or mental health or condition; job evaluations or educational records; commission (or alleged commission) of an offense or related proceedings; political opinions or beliefs; religious beliefs; sexual orientation; membership in a trade union or political party, you expressly authorize to handle such details for the purposes of your job application.

Use of Applicant Personal Information

Applicant Personal Information about you will be added to Catholic Medical Center’s candidate database and will be used for the purposes of considering whether your profile is suitable for other job vacancies at Catholic Medical Center. If we elect to make you an offer, personal information you submit may be incorporated into our human resources system and used to manage the new-hire process. If you become an employee, any personal information that you submit may become part of your employment file and may be used for other employment/work-related purposes as permitted by local law.

Disclosure of Applicant Personal Information

Applicant Personal Information about you will be reviewed by Catholic Medical Center employees or agents who have a business need to access such personal information and may include recruiters, human resources personnel, technical services personnel and managers or their designees.

We may share Applicant Personal Information about you with selected service providers or consultants acting on our behalf, such as third parties assisting Catholic Medical Center with the operation of the Site and the storage of information collected on the Site. These third parties will be required to use appropriate measures to protect the confidentiality and security of personal information which are no less protective that those set out in this Statement.

Catholic Medical Center also may disclose Applicant Personal Information about you in order to: (1) protect the legal rights, privacy, safety or property of Catholic Medical Center or its employees, agents, contractors, customers or the public; (2) protect the safety and security of visitors to our web sites or other properties; (3) protect against fraud or other illegal activity or for risk management purposes; (4) respond to inquiries or requests from public or legal authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements; (5) permit Catholic Medical Center to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain; (6) enforce the Site’s Terms of Service; (7) respond to an emergency; (8) comply with the law or legal process; (9) effect a license, sale or transfer of all or a portion of the business or assets (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings); or (10) manage or arrange for acquisitions, mergers and re-organizations.

Data Retention

We are required to temporarily retain certain information relating to candidates applying for jobs. If there is no activity in relation to Applicant Personal Information, Catholic Medical Center may remove it from its database, subject to Catholic Medical Center’s data retention obligations and policies and any applicable legal or regulatory obligations or for the period of time permitted by local laws, for the purpose of considering whether your skills are suitable for other opportunities. Note that Catholic Medical Center may delete personal information about you at any time (including your CV/résumé), without any reason. Therefore, please retain your own copy of the personal information provided to us.

Changes to Statement

We reserve the right to amend this Statement at any time without advance notice in order to address future developments of Catholic Medical Center, the Site or changes in industry or legal trends. We will post the revised Statement on the Site or announce the change on the home page of the Site. You can determine when the Statement was revised by referring to the "Last Updated" legend on the bottom of this Statement. Any changes will become effective upon the posting of the revised Statement on the Site. By continuing to use the Site following such changes, you will be deemed to have agreed to such changes. If you do not agree with the terms of this Statement, in whole or part, you can choose to not continue to use the Site.
